Andy Dalton May Not Be Done

The Bengals are preparing AJ McCarron for a run as starting quarterback while waiting for Andy Dalton’s broken thumb to heal.

While some of the video is hard to understand, Jones’ message is nonetheless clear – he isn’t happy with how the Steelers celebrated their win, nor with how it was covered.

Maybe Dalton, who will surely miss the remaining three games of the regular-season, will return just in time to lead his club down the thorny, playoff portal. It’s possible these teams meet in the playoffs, setting up what could be the most bitterly contested game the Steelers have played since the AFC Championship game against Baltimore after the 2008 season. Not to mention they have a game, at home, against the wretched 49ers, this weekend. He started on Sunday after missing last week’s game with a neck injury. They’re now in the second spot and have a Monday night game with the Broncos in Week 16 that will likely determine if they hold onto that standing heading into the postseason. He’ll practice with the starters this week, and the game plan will be tailored to what he likes to do.

McCarron said he was looking forward to spending an entire week working with the first-team offense. We understand they’re a top-five scoring defense, so we understand they’re not going to make scoring easy. “Nothing’s changed. We’re chasing the same goals, the same dreams. And now he’s got to leas us for however long”. “And we didn’t want us to be the reason that they got in”.
