You can now make in-app purchases with Android Pay
So long as the apps themselves support Android Pay as a payment option, users will be able to select it, and with their card data already inside of Android Pay, they can avoid having to enter their card information in multiple places.

In addition to the rollout of Android pay in apps, Google also announced that Android Pay iscoming to Australia in the first half of 2016 in partnership with several of the country’s major financial institutions, including ANZ, Westpac and others. This means you can easily make secure payments when making purchases on your phone without having to type in your credit card information. Just tap it against a machine when you’re checking out at thousands of stores and your phone will automatically apply any applicable loyalty cards and charge your credit card, bank account, or other payment method.
Google adds that Android Pay will work with Visa and MasterCards at launch, and eftpos in the future. You will be able to use Android Pay wherever NFC payments are accepted in the country, including merchants such as 7-Eleven, McDonald’s and Telstra. Similar to using Android Pay in stores, the service looks to protect consumers by not sharing their actual card details with merchants to complete transactions. A couple commenters on the blog post announcement voiced disappointment in Google’s slighting of Canada, as there’s no word when Android Pay will be supported there. Developers can go to the Android Pay API developer site to learn more about how to add Android Pay and this new feature to their apps.
