Taylor Swift announces film of her 1989 concert tour
“Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes”, Swift tweeted to her 67 million followers.
Every day’s a holiday when you’re in Taylor Swift’s inner circle, but if that day also happens to be the star’s 26th birthday AND 12 days before Christmas – fuggedaboutit!
The concert, directed by Jonas Akerlund, features Swift’s performance in Sydney, Australia, at the ANZ Stadium, taped on November 28.
“Absolute terror hit”, she told Apple’s Beats 1 DJ Zane Lowe in a one-in-one interview that aired on Monday.
Many speculated that the open letter Taylor wrote to Apple was just nothing but a marketing strategy for Apple Music to sell out more because their free streaming site competition Spotify have been doing quite well ahead of them that time. Apple introduced Apple Music in June.
Apple Music appears to be back in Taylor Swift’s good graces after the two were at odds earlier this year.
The “1989 World Tour Live” concert video will be released on December 20th, with Swift sharing the trailer on twitter on Sunday. The message condemned Apple for not paying the artists who are on their list during their three-month free trial.
Even as Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour has ended, the Bad Blood singer is all happy and running to the bank.
It will also include appearances from other musicians and celebrities who surprised fans on the tour, including Justin Timberlake, Mick Jagger and Kobe Bryant.
“I find it to be shocking, disappointing, and completely unlike this historically progressive and generous company”, she added. In return Swift agreed to stream her blockbuster album 1989 on Apple Music.
I think that is probably the starting point because I didnt have a personal relationship with Apple until that point, Swift said. Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Apple changed its decision to pay artists. “Am I going to wake up tomorrow and all of my music will be off of iTunes?” she said.
