France arrests three over Islamist attacks on Paris
Police suspect the shooter was killed in a police raid in the northern suburb of Saint-Denis, along with Abdelhamid Abaaoud, the 28-year-old architect of the Paris attacks, and his cousin, Hasnia Ait Boulhacen.
A man and a woman were arrested in northern France.
Agence France-Presse and Reuters, citing a judicial source, are reporting that a 29-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in the Paris region in connection with the attack that killed 130 people.
French authorities have apprehended three people in connection to terrorist attacks 10 months apart.
Eight men have been arrested in Belgium, where the attacks are thought to have been organised, and one man has been detained in Turkey on suspicion of scouting the concert hall, bars and restaurants where the attacks took place. Amedy Coulibaly stormed the Hyper Cacher market January 9, killing four people and taking others hostage before authorities killed him.
It is known that the two Stade de France bombers arrived on Leros aboard smugglers’ boats on 3 October, then left for Athens with four other men, who have not been seen since.
The attack on the supermarket, as well as the one on Charlie Hebdo, which killed 12 people the same day, was also claimed by the Islamic State. All deny any knowledge he was planning an attack.
Police are still investigating two January attacks around Paris that killed 17 people.
The prosecutor’s office representative identified the pair being held in that case as Claude Hermant and his wife, both of whom are accused of being involved in arms trafficking.
