Republican presidential candidates face off in fifth debate
Republican presidential candidates, from left, John Kasich, Carly Fiorina, Marco Rubio, Ben Carson, Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, and Rand Paul take the stage during the CNN Republican presidential debate at the Venetian Hotel & Casino on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, in Las Vegas.
Since the last Republican debate, Trump said he would “bomb the shit out of ISIS” and promised to “take out” the families of terrorists. Bush & Trump have been at each one others throats for much of the marketing crusade season – with each one candidate seemingly earnest to attack the opposite. “But he’s a chaos candidate and he’d be a chaos presidency”. After Trump defended it as a matter of national security-“we’re not talking about religion, we’re talking about security”-Jeb Bush derided the idea as “not a serious proposal”, reports the Washington Post”. Trump said, to which Bush replied: “I’m talking right now”. People will not come in unless they come in legally. “He said that because he has failed in this campaign”, Trump said. “It’s been a total disaster”, Trump said as Bush awkwardly winced. Look, this is not a serious proposal.
It all happened when Wolf asked Jeb what he thought about Donald’s proposal to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the United States. “Nobody cares. And, frankly, I’m the most solid person up here”, Trump said. And I like to hang out and talk.
The popular rapper/singer told Fox News Latino, “And let me tell you, Jeb Bush speaks Spanish fluently”. Former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania and former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee said, however, that Trump had brought up an important issue, stressing the need to protect American citizens from Islamic State militants. Bush argued that such a policy would alienate the Arab world just at the moment when the US needs to build allies with friendly Arab nations. It is not a serious proposal to say that to the people that you’re asking to support, for their support, that they can’t even come to the country to even engage in a dialogue with us.
