Man With Gun Reported at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis

According to IUPUI’s website, a man with a gun has been reported near their campus Tuesday afternoon.

Indianapolis police spokesman Officer Rafael Diaz says officers could not find the armed man who robbed a person near an off-campus apartment and fled toward campus.

The tweet from the school said: ‘If you are on campus, trust your instincts and take safe shelter in the nearest available room. Lock the door if possible.

It says people should remain in place until police have given the all clear.

Students at an Indiana State University have been instructed to take shelter until the situation is resolved. The victim handed over his wallet, and the suspect ran toward the IUPUI campus. He’s wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and a hat with yellow writing on it. He was last seen not far from the 700 block of Blake Street.

The suspect stole a cell phone and there was an undisclosed amount of cash in the wallet. There are no reports of injuries as of yet.
