Again at a rally at Gajole in Malda district the chief minister said that the raids were nothing but acts of political vendetta.
The CBI said it carried out searches at Kumar’s office at the Delhi Secretariat and not that of the Chief Minister.
“Under his long presidency of the cricket board, there has been huge corruption in it. I ordered an inquiry, the report of which was in my office and CBI came to lay its hands on it”.
Kejriwal, a former bureaucrat and anti-corruption campaigner, rose to prominence as leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, which means “common man”.
“It has become imperative to tell as to why CBI raided my office”.
Still, the provocative CBI raid is bound to intensify the face-off between Kejriwal and the central government. They said the agency had conducted the searches at his office and residence after taking warrants.

In a press conference Kejriwal revealed that CBI came for DDCA files.
But Kejriwal said the CBI, which is funded by the central government, was “lying”.
The Kejriwal Government has been involved in a continuous battle with the Central Government over th control of law and order, police and land in the National Capital Territory of Delhi. “Modi is a coward and psychopath”, he said, sparking an angry condemnation from a furious BJP which demanded an apology from the chief minister for his “disgraceful” remarks. Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said it had “nothing to do” Kejriwal, and he ridiculed the suggestion it was politically motivated.
Minister. The action was in connection with allegations against Kumar of favouring private companies in awarding government contracts from 2007-2014. “CBI raids only when they receive a credible complaint and they want to investigate the corruption matter”, said Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar.
