Trump supporters shrug off the fuss, say he gets it
The group, Correct the Record, says they have mailed versions of the Donald Trump’s well-known “Make America Great Again” trucker hat to Republican candidates, each with a candidate-customized take on what the group considers anti-Muslim rhetoric.
“They support a ban on Muslims entering the US?”
Trump, speaking to CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday’s “State of the Union”, defended his call for a ban on all Muslim travel to the U.S. David Cameron, the Conservative British prime minister, called Mr Trump’s anti-Muslim hatemongering “divisive, unhelpful and, quite simply, wrong”.
“It says to those in Islam who are trying to exploit people and recruit foreign fighters and otherwise, it says look, look at America”.
Also troubling for many is that Trump now is the top choice within many categories: Terrorism, Immigration, Personality, Best chance of winning, Would bring needed change, Best personality, and Strongest leader.
So if Trump’s answer to any of his perceived problem – which thus far have been human beings having equal rights – is to just completely block out every “problem starter”, how will he ever achieve anything beyond alienating some people and outraging others? “But we have a problem”, Trump said. I’m doing the right thing. Trump wants to divide the United States on the basis of religion, colour and ethnicity.
“We have to know the answer, or we’re never going to have a safe country”, Trump added.
