Trump called a ‘chaos candidate’ during final 2015 debate
Trump jumped in “are you talking or am I talking?”
“Donald is great at the one-liners, but he is a chaos candidate and he would be a chaos president”, said Bush, the former governor of Florida who has been lagging in opinion polls.
“Donald, you are not going to be able to insult your way to the presidency. He would not be the commander-in-chief we need to keep our country safe”, Bush declared.
Trump was ready for the attack. “It makes no sense to suggest this”, Bush said.
When Trump complained that the CNN moderators were trying to entice candidates into attacking him, Bush said “this is a tough business, running for president”.
Tuesday, during the CNN GOP debate, Trump argued that Bush’s campaign has “been a total disaster, nobody cares, and, frankly, I’m the most solid person up here”.
The real-estate mogul was working from a position of strength. Trump’s focus, it seems, is on Cruz as the latest Des Moines Register/Bloomberg News poll Saturday showed Cruz surging ahead of Trump in Iowa, 31 percent to 21 percent. Just two months ago.
“The idea that that is a solution to this is just insane”, Bush said. While answering a question on targetting families of terror suspects, Trump said it is okay to do so as terrorists kill innocents. “We will never be great again”. The senators tussled over National Security Agency surveillance and the USA Freedom Act, which made it more hard for the government to access people’s phone records. He also said his vote provided new tools to investigators, such as access to a suspect’s mobile-phone records.
“This is one of the last opportunities this year that the candidates have to make an impact”.
At the so-called “undercard” debate of low-polling candidates, held before the main event, former New York Governor George Pataki blasted Trump’s Muslim proposal as “un-American, unconstitutional, and it is wrong”.
Bush then jumped in, saying: “This is another example of the lack of seriousness” of Trump’s candidacy.
It’s finally here – the final Republic presidential primary debate of 2015. “I’m going to write in a name”, she said. Yet on Tuesday, his best moment so far on the night came while he reacted with facial expressions as Bush was. I don’t want our country to be taken away from us and that’s what’s happening.
Rubio has disavowed the bill, and said his policy wasn’t significantly different from Cruz’s.
Carson, too, took aim at Cruz in an appearance on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday after Cruz questioned support for Trump and Carson.
Immigration is a liability for Rubio within a Republican electorate that has otherwise warmed to the Florida senator after a string of strong debate performances. And if I’m president and if Obama has brought some to this country, they are leaving.
