Trader Joe’s recalls exploding soda
Trader Joe’s stores nationwide received the product, which is sold in green glass bottles.
Following multiple instances of glass bottles purchased from Trader Joe’s stores bursting, the retailer is voluntarily recalling all bottles of “Triple Ginger Brew” purchased between November 9 and Monday, Dec. 14.
The Monrovia-based company claims that the beverage itself doesn’t pose a health risk and that no illnesses or injuries have been reported.
Trader Joe’s tells WXXA they will not be carrying the product for the remainder of the season.
Trader Joe’s will provide refunds for anyone who bought the affected soda.
The grocery chain says it issued the recall because of “reports of unopened bottles potentially bursting”.
