Kim Kardashian Reveals She Ate Her Baby’s Placenta

New mums have claimed there are multiple benefits from eating the placenta, also known as the afterbirth, including the prevention of postnatal depression. “You are looking vastly improved”, Caitlyn tells Kim, who reacts, “I am feeling vastly improved”.
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are doting parents to their infant son, Saint West. The celebrity couple have reportedly named godparents for their little boy, which caused quite a stir within the family.
Though Kardashian hasn’t addressed those particular reports, this week she shared that she plans to eat her placenta.
“‘They take turns waking up and tending to the baby’s needs. What do I have to lose?” she confessed on kimkardashianwest.com.

Kim’s not alone when it comes to a famous face singing the praises of this process as even sister Kourntey Kardashian labelled it a “life-changing experience”. She also took it in pill form, according to E! Always. This time, however, Kim might be onto something good-after the birth of her second child, the reality TV star is having her placenta freeze-dried and made into pills as she believes it will ward off postpartum Joseline Hernandez depression.
As reported by the The Inquisitr, the woman’s placenta is formed upon pregnancy.
At present, there is no medical evidence that suggests eating placenta prevents post-natal depression. It is said that canines bond more with their newborns and are eased of labor pains after eating the placenta.
