Bush strong in GOP debate but it may not matter
Republican front-runner Donald Trump has stood firm over his provocative call for banning Muslims from the United States as his party’s presidential candidates pushed their own plans for fighting Islamic State (IS) militants.
The ad cuts between clips of Bush attacking Trump during the debate for having “a lack of seriousness” by referencing statements the frontrunner has made on national security issues, each of which he visibly denies, and video of Trump actually making these declarations in past interviews.
Trump was caught in a war of words with fellow candidate Jeb Bush. “It’s been a total disaster, nobody cares, and frankly I’m the most solid person up here”.
A plurality said former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-Fla.) was the debate’s loser.
Thirty-five percent of registered Republicans think Trump won the contest in Las Vegas, according to a One America News Network survey released Wednesday.
It’s also the first debate in which Cruz has risen to the top of the pile, putting him in Trump’s line of fire.

“That’s easy to say”, Rubio said Wednesday morning.
Hours before the debate began, officials in Los Angeles closed all schools after an emailed threat that was later deemed a hoax.
Kasich, like most of the Republican field, feels the real fight is against terrorism, and climate change, while a possible important policy debate, is an unnecessary distraction. “Every parent is wondering, how do we keep our kids safe?”
“Jeb doesn’t really believe I’m unhinged”, Trump said. At one point Dr. Ben Carson asked who he’d side with… the retired neurosurgeon declined to do that.

The fact is, for seven years, I had to make these decisions after 9/11, make a decision about how to proceed forward with an investigation or how to pull back, whether you use certain actionable intelligence or whether not to. “He always said what I felt what in my heart”, said Snodderly. When Trump was told that most of the other candidates disagree with him saying they’d rather err on the side of caution, he said, “That’s why I’m No. 1 and they’re not”.
