Star Wars: The next generation

Managers at the Aurora Cineplex in Roswell predict “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will be the biggest premiere in this theater’s history, but with all that hype, they’ll need to enforce some rules for safety.

Following Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm, the Expanded Universe continuity was established as non-canon and rebranded as “Star Wars Legends”, in favor of “The Force Awakens”, current novels like “Star Wars Aftermath” and future films.

The British star, who plays lead character Rey in the seventh film in the franchise, wowed in a cut-out black sequined gown at the epic European opening in Leicester Square on Wednesday night.

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens playset will be available at a SRP of $34.99 on December 18.

Lightsabre-wielding fans had been queuing for the midnight screenings of Star Wars VI: The Force Awakens in the Entertainment Quarter at Sydney’s Moore Park since 9pm. Of course Abrams begins with the familiar blue text telling us this all takes place “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away…” and then we get the iconic yellow crawl text giving us some basic backstory and letting us know where we are now.

One Twitter user posted this afternoon from London: “Good couple of hundred people queuing for the Star Wars premiere fan barrier spots”.

Ed, dressed in ideal jedi robes down to the boots, was one of the last fans to arrive but one of the most enthusiastic. Nobody will be unhappy, especially if they see it in 3D.

“I feel really honored to be a part of this”, she added. I sincerely hope it rises to new heights from here, and I’m happy the kids of today have something to thrill their imaginations as much as I did when I was a kid.

“Honestly it still hasn’t sunk in yet, being an avid Star Wars fan it really is a dream come true”.
