Star Wars: The Force Awakens review

While the force might be with Star Wars fans, they aren’t welcome to bring their lightsabers to most Lexington theaters showing the most anticipated movie of the year.

The first “stars” of the film to arrive were droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, who ambled down the red carpet taking in the scenery. I think it’s a worthy effort. “But still, it’s going to be hard to rise above the noise of ‘Star Wars‘”. It becomes a part of people’s lives and I really appreciate that they have such an intense, emotional interest in these films.

Not everybody knows this yet, although it’s been out there: Lin-Manuel Miranda, writer and star of the genre-reinventing Broadway Musical “Hamilton,” contributed music to “Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens”.

Mark Hamill, who plays Luke Skywalker, said he was overwhelmed.

Among the latest releases are Hot Toys 1:6 scale (12-inch) figures from the first “Star Wars” film, “Episode IV – A New Hope” – including a stunning figure in the likeness of the late Sir Alec Guinness as Obi-Wan Kenobi.

He also said he had a “very special affinity” for London, revealing his son was born here while he filmed The Empire Strikes Back.

Stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford hummed the a cappella medley, which Adam Driver and Gwendoline Christie added dark notes to with their transition straight into “The Imperial March”.

The top grossing film of all time hauled in some $2.8 billion globally; however, its domestic opening weekend in December 2009 came in at a modest $77 million.
