Arunchal Pradesh: Sonia Gandhi-led delegation meets President
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP and the RSS in criminal collusion with crony industrial houses is attempting to murder democracy and the constitution of India by subverting the mandate of people of Arunachal Pradesh who elected a Congress government in May 2014 with a four-fifth majority”, the party said in a statement.
“We have sought the President’s protection to ensure sanctity of Constitution”, Gandhi said.
Tuki in his letter said that the governor “not stopping by issuing this illegal order, also issues the agenda of the business to be transacted by selectively taking up pending business of removal of the speaker to be chaired by the deputy speaker, whereas the notice for removal of the deputy speaker was submitted earlier to the assembly secretariat”.
The political turmoil continues in Arunachal Pradesh with the Deputy Speaker on Thursday holding the Assembly Session in a hotel close to the Assembly. Yesterday the Chief Minister went to meet the Governor for discussions, but there they accused and abused the Governor. “At present, the assembly has just 44 members, of them 11 are from the BJP and two Independents”, Tuki said, while buttressing his claims.

When it reconvened, Trinamool Congress’ Derek O’Brien raised the issue of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raids, alleging that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s office was targeted.
“Today, it is Arunachal Pradesh.tomorrow it can be Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, and many other states”.
The judge allowed petitioner Kapil Sibal to implead the government of Arunachal Pradesh as a party respondent.
“It is clear that the BJP top leadership with the connivance of some dissident Congress MLAs planned to destabilize the democratically-elected Congress government in Arunachal Pradesh”.
He said the Governor has “acted within the Constitution and he has been informing the President (of the happenings)”.
