Mr. Jaitley also attacked West Bengal and Bihar chief ministers Mamata Banerjee and Nitish Kumar for supporting Mr. Kejriwal, saying “they need to redeem themselves” by publicly distancing from the Delhi chief minister’s vocabulary.

Reacting to demands by the Congress Party and the AAP for his resignation, Jaitley said he could answer specific issue, but he could not answer “vague allegation” without any basis. “So he should be removed”.
The CBI spokesperson countered that Kejriwal’s office was neither searched nor sealed, and whatever was taken away was related to corruption allegations against Rajendra Kumar.
The acrimonious war of words that has pit Delhi’s ruling party against the Centre was triggered by a controversial CBI raid on Tuesday on Kejriwal’s office.

“Congress demands that pending the completion of inquiry through a JPC, Arun Jaitley step down, failing which the Prime Minister should sack him”, Maken said at a press conference. He said the initial budget was 24 crore but eventually it went up to Rs 114 crore.
Earlier, Jaitley hit out at the Delhi Chief Minister accusing him of spreading “untruth” against him, two days after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) alleged that Jaitley was involved in a scandal linked to DDCA of which he was earlier a president.

Congress leader Ajay Maken, while talking to media, said there were “gross financial irregularities” in the DDCA which had been headed by Jaitley.
AAP said the statutory auditor of DDCA has been facing prosecution for fudging accounts and that a statement to this effect was made by MoS in Finance Ministry Jayant Sinha in Parliament. “I will keep fighting till my last breath for the country”, Kejriwal said.
“The report concluded in relation to the DDCA being registered under the Companies Act that: thus, in a nutshell, there are certain irregularities/non-compliance or technical violations, but no fraud (was) noticed as alleged”, he said quoting from the report.
