After decommitting from Buckeyes, nation’s No. 1 RB picks MI
Walker’s arrival is expected to boost a running back corps at MI that had no true standout.
The nation’s top running back prospect announced his college decision on Thursday afternoon.
The Class of 2016’s No. 1 running back added some fuel to sports’ greatest rivalry. “Walker runs well between the tackles and is explosive through the hole”, Scout.com national analyst Brian Dohn wrote of Walker.
Walker, the 24th commitment in Michigan’s 2016 class, rushed for 1,517 yards and 13 TD for De Paul Catholic this season.
Pembroke Pines Flanagan four-star linebacker Devin Bush Jr. committed to MI on Wednesday, joining two of his high school teammates also committed to the school. A day later, the Wolverines beat out the Seminoles and Tigers again for an even more coveted prospect in Walker, who should be able to compete for carries right away after enrolling in college early.
The First Team All-State senior and five-star recruit chose MI over Florida State, Auburn, Alabama and Arizona State.
Especially now that he’s going to MI, which he announced on Thursday afternoon. “Jim Harbaugh is building something special there”.
