Clinton to propose higher taxes for wealthy
Democratic presidential candidate and former secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Tuesday that President Barack Obama called her when negotiators had reached a deal on Iran’s nuclear program.
And on Wednesday morning before the rally in Omaha the pair held a second fundraiser where tickets ranged from $500 to $2,700-the max an individual is allowed to donate under federal rules-and as much as $27,000 for a photo with Buffett and Clinton. The “Buffett rule” would require that people earning more than $1 million annually be taxed at a minimum of 30 percent.
“We are standing but we’re not yet running”, she said. “And that night he said: “If this election is going to be about resumes, than Hillary Clinton will win”, said Ryan Arndorfer, a Hillary Clinton endorser.
“I am going to fight hard to try and implement the Buffett rule”, Clinton said before charging that Republicans want to “go back to the same failed economic policies again”.
Mr. Buffett also said he’d be “delighted” to see Mrs. Clinton become president, offering a strong stamp of approval but also adding new fuel to the narrative that the former secretary of state is too cozy with wealthy Americans to truly be a champion of the middle class.
The trip to Southern California will be the sixth for the 68-year-old Clinton since she declared her candidacy on April 12.

Buffett has referred to Clinton as a “hero of mine” in the past and predicted a year ago that she would succeed President Obama, whom he also supported.
“The tech community and the government have to stop seeing each other as adversaries” and start working together, said Mrs Clinton, the leading contender for the Democratic presidential nomination, according to polls.
Clinton was campaigning in deeply conservative Nebraska, which is holding its primary contest on March 5. Bernard Sanders, also have yet to fully lay out the tax plans that would pay for their expansive liberal agendas.
After her Omaha rally, Clinton is scheduled to jump across the border to Iowa, where she will headline two town halls. “I used to love Abbott and Costello”, she said, shaking his head ruefully. She touched on the need for a tougher response to terrorism after the San Bernardino shootings, and reminded everyone in the audience that she won’t tolerate Islamophobia.
