Microsoft beats Apple’s tablet sales, apologises for Surface 4 flaws

The Surface Book is Microsoft’s best work yet, running Windows 10 Pro and packing a detachable screen to be used as a clipboard.

Microsoft has been top of the league since the establishment of the company. It’s not a big update, and some issues are still not addressed, the update improves the touchpad and keyboard experience on the Surface Book.

Stock of the latest model, the Surface Pro 4, is constrained for the Surface Authorised Device Resellers, according to half a dozen ADR partners contacted by CRN last week.

By default, pressing the pen button will open Microsoft OneNote; a double-click will take a screenshot; and holding the button will open digital personal assistant “Cortana”.

Of course, the success of Windows 10 Mobile does not depend on Universal apps alone.

The Split View mode in iOS 9 provides a multi-window view, but it simply doesn’t do enough to overcome other related shortcomings.
