Do The Cowboys Have What It Takes To Beat The Packers?
The Green Bay Packers (8-4) are at the top of the NFC North. The Dallas Cowboys (4-8) are at the bottom of the NFC East. Believe it or not, but both teams will be fighting to keep their dream of a division title alive at Lambeau Field on Sunday. Of course, that’s the same amount of losses the Cowboys have over that span. And like Dallas, it took some late game heroics for the Packers to pull off a win last week.

Rodgers will get an up-close look on Sunday when the Cowboys play the Packers at Lambeau Field. Green Bay scored on its next possession on Rodgers’ 3-yard touchdown pass to tight end Richard Rodgers to make it 14-0 with 2:40 left in the second quarter. Johnson, who had a touchdown taken away in controversial fashion in a game at Chicago five years ago, offered his take on how future rulings should go. The Packers are the betting favorites to win the NFC North, and they have a crucial game with the Vikings scheduled in Week 17. Adams has finished with less than five receptions in six of the nine games he’s played, and hadn’t even scored a single touchdown until last week. “So we’ve got to bring it”, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said. And also, the Packers offense is struggling this season. You can blame it on the offensive line, Jordy Nelson’s injury or Randall Cobb’s struggles; any way you cut it, they have issues moving the ball through the air.
Beasley’s numbers pretty much are on par with what he has done in past seasons with the Cowboys, but for some reason I thought he would be more heavily involved in the offensive game plan from week to week after all of the hype coming out of training camp earlier this season.
The Cowboys are now 4-8 and trail the rest of the NFC East leaders by just one game. If Matt Cassel can get any kind of deep passing game going, Dallas should get some points. But the biggest drop is their ability to move the ball as the Pack have gone from 383 yards per game (ranked 6th) in 2014 to 341 yards a game (22nd) this season.
The Green Bay offense was bolstered Wednesday by the return to practice of rookie receiver Ty Montgomery, who has been out for a month with an ankle injury. Lacy reportedly missed curfew despite being inside the hotel, leaving him benched for the majority of Green Bay’s week 13 win over the Detroit Lions.
The rebuild on the fly starts with Dallas, which for all its travails, and 4-8 record, still boast a defense capable of impressive play – tied for fifth in total defense.
Green Bay will work the short passing game. “There was space in there, and he did a good job of really working his routes and taking the time to get open”.
It may not be what the Cowboys “wanted as far as the wins and losses, but this is a league where that happens”, Witten said.
One player in particular that needs to be utilized more on offense is wide receiver Cole Beasley.
Regardless of who is throwing him the ball, Bryant is still a very formidable player to go against, and the Packers defense will have its hands full with him for most of the game.
