Man United: Van Gaal back in firing line
Former Manchester United forward Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez has revealed the circumstances that led to his departure from Old Trafford. The Dutchman also made it clear that should the right offer come, Hernandez should not spend time contemplating it. The offer came from Real Madrid and Hernandez made his way to the Bernabeu on loan.
Despite being a key fixture of the United squad under manager Louis van Gaal last season, Young has become a peripheral figure this campaign.
But United are ready to sign him and hope to fend off interest from around Europe.
Hernandez joined United when Alex Ferguson was in charge, but saw his playing time dwindle after the Scot retired.
“I have been confident since the first day and I feel important here, not only for the goals but in all the games that I watch, I see myself in the line-up”.
And, according to The Sun, a number of players have stood up to boss Van Gaal with two senior stars apparently speaking up in the changing room following the 2-1 reverse on Saturday.
Hernandez told Spanish TV: “I had a great time there”.
Van Gaal’s side are fourth in the Premier League after dropping points with draws against West Ham and Leicester in the past month, and with Pep Guardiola leaving Bayern Munich the Red Devils faithful believe there could be a better option.
That loss compounded United’s misery after they were dumped out of the Champions League at the group stage by Wolfsburg just days earlier.
Images of the banner surfaced on social media last night and is set to be flown over Old Trafford during Manchester United’s clash against Norwich this weekend. “Experts” like myself are not supposed to say that, because we are supposed to be blessed with the power of insight into what will happen next, but that’s just not true ― if we really knew, we would be professional gamblers rather than pundits. “He will have the words and the will to build a good relationship with Anthony to help him”. The sub plots where everywhere at a time when Van Gaal was left to rue the lack of depth in a squad he himself has chosen to trim back. His recruitment of Radamel Falcao failed to work out last season and Adnan Januzaj is on loan at Borussia Dortmund.
