New film to be screened in local theaters
At Hollywood Theaters in Longview, they have set up the gates for Star Wars fans to funnel them into the correct show.
“Star Wars is one of those movies where everyone comes out and they have a good time, it doesn’t matter if you’re young or old”, 501st Legion Storm Trooper Merritt Hosley said. That was followed by Episodes II and III and continued into the classic trilogy throughout Thursday, leading up to the big premiere at 7 p.m.
Two of the three said safety issues did cross their minds but they really were just more excited for that script to roll.
Other theaters across the country are also tightening protection services. “It has the potential to draw in newer audience members like teenagers and young adults so they can get lost in what I got lost in growing up”, he said.
“It’s a generational thing”, McMahon said. “So for one night I can lose some sleep”.
“I’m such a huge fan of Star Wars that I can’t be afraid of coming to see this movie”, Kaiser said.
From the get-go, the Star Wars franchise has been a marketing machine, according to the American Marketing Association.
All the preparation, however, is for a movie that multiple generations come to see. “I guess you could say I’m trying to recapture my childhood”.
The HISHE team has made an alternate version of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, and it’s attractive. “Something to keep me satisfied until the movie starts”, Russell said.
“I can’t even, I can’t even describe it. It’s going to be insane, but it’s going to be a lot of fun”.
