30 percent of Republicans want to bomb country from ‘Aladdin’
Agrabah is the country from “Aladdin”, the tweet read.
“It’s a whole new world”, said Dean Debnam, President of Public Policy Polling, in the pollster’s press release.
PPP- which is known for asking trolltastic questions- found that an additional 13% do NOT support bombing the setting of Disney’s Aladdin.
The poll asks various questions regarding the Republican presidential candidates.
Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that there is even more support for blowing up an animated country among supporters of Donald Trump. The ABC News/Washington Post poll had Trump ahead with 38 percent, then Cruz at 15 parent, Rubio 12 percent, Carson 12 percent, and Bush 5 percent.
Just above half of Republican voters who took part in the poll said all Muslims should be banned from entering the US.
While most (57%) said they didn’t know, 30% responded that they would like to see the kingdom bombed.
Public Policy Polling asked some 530 Republicans: “Would you support or oppose bombing Agrabah?”. Voters were not told the city was a fictional location, however one out of every three Republicans voted in favor of bombing the fake town. It was retweeted over 10,000 times. It is not a concidence that extreme-xenophobe Donald Trump would have the highest number of supporters who are in favor of bombing Agrabah.
Among respondents affiliated with the Democratic party, 19% favored a USA bombardment of the imaginary city, while 36% opposed taking such measures.
