Harrison Ford wants no involvement in Han Solo spin-off
As the first round of people who saw Star Wars the Force Awakens make their way out of the theatre and into the world, all they want to do is tell people about it, but Han Solo says No No!!
Ford is the one actor who does not have a minder from the studio sitting in on his interview; he hates that type of factor. He’s friendly in the distracted way of famous people.
Struggles for control have always been the foundation of Star Wars, battles between the light and the dark side for a character’s soul. “I am what I am”.
Q. So, who roped you into this? Before the screening Disney were very insistent about people not giving away spoilers, but it is kind of redundant because in the Star Wars universe the options are so limited that no surprise ever really comes as a surprise: people will be tempted to cross to the dark side; people in tin helmets will be evil; ordinary people will quickly reveal themselves to be bold and heroic; and there will be a climatic lightsabre fight. I do not know. “There will be? OK, let’s talk when I get a chance to read it”.

Almost 40 years ago, an unknown actor named Harrison Ford signed on for Star Wars.
Q: After all these years, did you feel like you still had pretty easy access to the character of Han Solo? It’s my work brain.
Within the intervening years, you are watching TV and flipping by way of the channels and “Star Wars” comes on – I understand how it ends.
Q: So, you find yourself back here again.
“Chewy, we’re home.” – Han Solo. Not essentially nostalgia, however is there a “sense reminiscence” to it? There’s a muscle memory that goes with those shoes, that goes with the fit of those trousers. There is a swagger that is influenced by the gun in your hip. It is a world, and also you step into that world and also you keep in mind what it was wish to stay there.
Q: Did you just think, “Holy crap?”
