Rainbow Six Siege free to play this weekend

Ubisoft has announced the PC version of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will have a friend referral program launching today.

Beginning today, December 18, everyone who owns Siege on PC will be given four keys to hand out to friends for a special free play weekend that begins at 3:01 PM PST. One referral code allows one player to play the PC version of the game until Monday 21st at 12:01PM EST with no strings attached.

You need to visit the official website and sign in to get the free codes.

Although the game won’t unlock for free players until later today, they can start pre-loading right away. Gamers who own Rainbow Six Siege can send up to four codes, and for each one that gets redeemed, they will earn a 24-hour Renown Boost (it will only work “shortly after” this event ends).

If those who receive the keys wish to continue playing after the free weekend, the game has a 25% off discount going on now, and progress will carry over.
