Targeting the finance minister, AAP alleged that in 2006, Jaitley had declared assets of Rs 23.86 crore and in 2012 he declared Rs 120 crore.
On December 17, Delhi Home Minister Satyendra Jain had tweeted, “Centre now demoralised many Delhi government officials, many of whom fear they might be targeted just for working with the Kejriwal govt (sic)”.
Senior bureaucrats of the Delhi government met Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Saturday and urged him to ensure a “conducive atmosphere” that would allow them to work in a “free and neutral manner”. “Will the Chief Minister hand over Rajendra Kumar’s case to the Lokayukta?” said Gupta.
“The CBI categorically denies having seized any material during searches that are not relevant to its investigation. The allegations against Rajendra Kumar were raised by Ashish Joshi, former member secretary, Delhi Dialogue Commission”, the agency said.
In a series of tweets, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today posted a picture of the documents taken by the CBI and said the documents taken were not related to the allegation, being probed by them.
He also maintained that the AAP very much stood for the CBI’s independence and there was no change in the party’s stand.
