McGregor KO’s Aldo in document 13 seconds for belt
Jose Aldo looks on after being defeated by Conor McGregor in a featherweight championship mixed martial arts bout at UFC 194, Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, in Las Vegas. Aldo fell to the mat and after a couple of McGregor hammer punches, the fight was suddenly over as quickly as it began. “It’s a sport, we have to accept. Not only from wins you live your life”.
Andre Pederneiras reckons Conor McGregor’s psychological warfare didn’t play any factor in Jose Aldo being knocked out in 13-seconds at UFC 194.
Aldo, like so many of us, are still trying to figure out exactly what caused one of the best fighters of all-time to lose in a blink of an eye.
“He threw a straight to my chest, I was expecting it, and when I went to attack him, he hit a good straight”, Aldo said in his post-fight interview (translated via Twitter).
As you certainly know, however, since Ronda Rousey was put away by Holly Holm, White has said they plan to hand “Rowdy” an immediate rematch.
The two fighters were previously supposed to meet at UFC 189, however Aldo was forced to withdraw due to an injury weeks before the fight and Chad Mendes took his place. “But I believe that precision beats power, and that’s what you saw”, McGregor said via Bleacher Report.
Rogan: “How much of all of his taunting and all of the insults, how much did that affect you and what was it like to be disrespected like that?”
“I feel sorry for him and I nearly want to comfort him”.
McGregor (19-2) finished the fight with an electrifying exchange shortly after the opening bell, slipping Aldo’s lead right and cracking him on the jaw with a huge left hand. We trained hard, did everything right, and the result wasn’t positive.
‘I said to (UFC bosses) Lorenzo [Fertitta] and I said to Dana [White], I’m breaking these big numbers, I’m breaking these half a billion dollar revenue numbers like the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight. “She has helped me throughout this career”.
Boom, he’s back. We’ll see what Conor decides to do, if he decides to make the weight, not make the weight, whatever.
