Strictly Come Dancing 2015 final part 2 recap
Sparkling Lincolnshire Strictly contestant Kevin Clifton finished top of the leader board at the end of the first programme of the glittering Strictly Come Dancing final with two flawless 40 scores.
A source close to The Wanted singer – who was paired with professional dancer Aliona Vilani in the BBC One series – told the Sunday Mirror: “Jay isn’t rushing any decisions but the future is certainly looking very good”.
Former Coronation Street star Georgia May Foote enthused about her favourite dance with partner Giovanni Pernice.
McGuiness looked shocked when co-hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman announced his name.
“My Strictly experience has been the scariest thing I’ve ever done and the most rewarding”, said Jay. But the outcome of the Grand Final was determined by the voting public alone and Jay clearly had their support.
Georgia May Foote, who earned a more than respectable 112 points over the course of three dances, said: “I’m so happy, all I wanted to do was get to the final and I’ve done it. Honestly I couldn’t be happier”. I’m glad I got to see it through to the end.
The outsider, TV and radio presenter Katie Derham, with Anton Du Beke, scored 31 for both dances, making 62.
“I am so happy”.
“You’re number one in my book”, said Darcey Bussell. Kellie Bright and Kevin Clifton led the pack with a ideal 80 out of 80 for their efforts.
McGuiness had made a flourishing entry into the competition which kicked off in September, winning over the judges with dramatic performances.
Asked whether he believed he should have won, McGuinness said: “I think it’s down to whoever watches whether they think I deserved to win or not”. Head judge Len Goodman added: “That was brilliant”. “It’s been one of the most special things I’ve ever done”, he said.
And she was enchanting – and blindfolded – for her Showdance to Fix You by Coldplay which was described by judge Bruno Tonioli as “Fifty Shades of Green”.
Strictly judge and choreographer Craig Revel Horwood said he would happily put Georgia in one of his musicals after she tore up the dancefloor with a show-stealing Charleston to Hot Honey Rag from her favourite film Chicago.
