Colorado Unemployment Rate Falls To 3.6 Percent

The Nebraska Labor Department said in a report released Friday that the preliminary November rate is two-tenths of a point under the November 2014 rate of 3.1 percent.
The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission said Friday that the jobless rate declined from 4.3 percent to 4.2 percent, although the rate is 0.2 percent higher than a year ago.
Maine’s unemployment rate dipped to 4.1 percent in November, down slightly from October as the estimate of people employed and seeking work continued to fall.

According to the survey of households, the number of people actively participating in the labor force increased to 2,811,600 and total employment increased to 2,709,600, causing the number of unemployed to decrease 3,700. Construction gained the most jobs over the month, with 1,100 new jobs.
The U.S. unemployment rate was unchanged in November at 5.0 percent.
“We can only add jobs at the rate we are adding workers to fill them”, he said.
Vermont showed the biggest percentage gain in employment last month with a 0.9 percent advance, followed by Idaho at 0.7 percent.
The agricultural base of Stanislaus County was apparent in the local figures, where farm jobs dropped by 1,900, offsetting a gain in nonfarm jobs of 1,000. The private service-providing sector added 58,800 jobs. Lincoln had 240 more jobs in November than October. “We are less than 25,000 jobs shy of attaining pre-recession employment levels in Alabama”.
Solano County’s 5.6 percent jobless rate for November tied with Sacramento County at 19th among the 58 counties in the state. Most of the decline was in durable goods manufacturing (-4,000), attributed in part to reported losses in primary metal manufacturing.
