Over the course of the past 14 weeks The Wanted singer has swept both the judges and viewers off their feet. Head judge Len Goodman added: “That was brilliant”.

“It wasn’t ideal”, Craig Revel Horwood agreed.

But he lost out to Wanted star Jay McGuiness and Aliona Vilani at the final hurdle.

Well, Jay got a big finish – and so did his fans. I just think it has been one of the most special things that I have ever done, with the most special person.

Foote said: “I’m so happy”.

And she was enchanting – and blindfolded – for her Showdance to Fix You by Coldplay which was described by judge Bruno Tonioli as “Fifty Shades of Green”.

Whilst this may be it for the 2015 series of Strictly Come Dancing, it isn’t all over quite yet as the show will be back on Christmas Day for the annual Christmas special, and it promises to be incredible.

Sparkling Lincolnshire Strictly contestant Kevin Clifton finished top of the leader board at the end of the first programme of the glittering Strictly Come Dancing final with two flawless 40 scores. “Yes you danced all the little bits but it wasn’t a show dance”. This is the right decision.

Fans wanted Jay and Aliona to do their “Pulp Fiction”-inspired Jive again, as their favourite routine, but they opted for their Paso Doble”.

“You’re number one in my book”, said Darcey Bussell.

But the Newark lad didn’t get off to the best of starts when he performed first on the show’s finale last night. “I have to say it was divine, the speed- you were in charge, you led Aliona attractive”.

And Georgia burst into tears.

The couple chose their Star Wars-inspired Charleston as their favourite dance of the series and scored 39 points.

“I still want everyone here to do their best and feel happy with what they’ve done. You are a lovely dancer to watch”‘. You bring joy to my heart.

Speaking to Aliona, Jay said: “You deserve it so much, you really do”. The results were announced tonight at the end of the second live show of the evening.
