Bajirao Mastani might get banned in Pakistan
Interestingly, SRK-Deepika’s Om Shanti Om faced Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Saawariya in 2007 and this time Deepika’s Bajirao Mastani will clash with SRK’s Dilwale on Dec 18.
The verdict however will be out when both films hit the screen this coming weekend – each of them with a promising ensemble cast. Shiv Sena previously called for a temporary ban on the film, saying that the film shouldn’t be released until “historical inaccuracies” have not been rectified.
“The other film is also made by friends”.
A day earlier when Ranveer had announced about the release of this song, he mentioned that this is his favourite song from Bajirao Mastani.
Coming back to India, Bajirao Mastani’s advance booking has led to nearly, sold out shows in the weekend, thereby promising a good start to the movie. “Even when I had to shoot Deepika’s portions for hours, Priyanka would hang around the set, observing, even cheering for Deepika”. But having said that, we both are doing very different films. “Then while we were doing “Ram-Leela”, he told me about this project which he was planning to make for the past 12 years”, he added.
Well, atleast they both agree on one point, that both the films are very different genres!
“With Mr. Bhansali there, there was no reason for me to go to the monitor and check out how I had done”. But the big question is, would Bajirao Mastani be able to cross Dilwale’s box office collections? As there are three regional boards in the country, Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, two of them have given permissions to release the film; however, one has the objections. The two magnificent stars who will be seen at their romantic best in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’ are amazingly nailing their passionate side in the just unveiled song Aayat.
The former Miss World, who couldn’t be part of the promotional tours of her next – Bajirao Mastani – is visibly irked.
