Sanders Campaign Suspends Two More Staffers Over Data Breach
“Now, this is getting to be fun”, said Sanders, after Clinton resisted efforts by the moderators to cut her off during a dispute over taxes.
Clinton zeroed in on Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump, saying his vow to ban Muslims from entering the United States is helping Islamic State militants recruit new members.
“But to be clear, you don’t have a video, as she said” Stephanopoulos said.
Going into this debate the democratic race was engulfed with allegations that the sanders’ campaign stole voter data from Hillary Clinton’s campaign.
The Clinton campaign accused Mr Sanders’ team of stealing information used to target voters and anticipate what issues might motivate them.
Ms Clinton accepted the apology and was keen voters and the media “moved on” from the story, though an independent investigation will still take place into the case. “Not only do I apologize to Secretary Clinton… So I want to explain why this is not in America’s interest to react with this kind of fear and respond to this sort of bigotry”.
Former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, whose campaign has not gained much traction, said the United States “must never surrender our American values to racists, must never surrender them to the fascist pleas of billionaires with big mouths”.
Clinton had been more than glad to accept that earlier gift as well. “The fact that he’s aware of criminal justice, injustice as a matter of fact, all these things so that they’re more connected to the people than I would say the Republican candidates”, San Francisco resident Angela Jenkins said.
Sanders is knowledgeable in many areas, but the reason he’s not in sync with his party isn’t so much specific differences on policies as it is that he seems to be saying that other concerns – ISIS, race, immigration and so on-aren’t “real issues”.
Asked whether he thought the timing of Saturday’s debate was meant to hold down viewership, Sanders said: “Yes, I do”. Many viewers, he said, were “wondering how they’re even going to be able to buy presents for their kids”.
There has been no evidence thus far that any footage of Trump’s comments has been used in ISIS recruiting videos.
“They should be Muslim troops”, he said.
Senator Sanders said he agreed with Clinton and O’Malley’s statements.
“Well of course I’m standing by it. It was vetted…”
By the end of July, the Democrats and the Republicans will have chosen their candidates for the presidential election, scheduled for next November. He said the two weren’t fired “because we are still assessing the situation”.
Clinton rejected the criticism and pointed out that Sanders as a USA senator from Vermont had voted “for regime change with respect to Libya” in 2011.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let’s calm down a little bit, Martin”, said Sanders, who is known for his own forceful speaking style.
Once again the prohibitive frontrunner in two national polls released this week, Clinton was on her game again in Manchester Saturday night, especially during the lengthy stretch of the debate devoted to foreign policy.
