Ancelotti to Replace Guardiola at Bayern at Season’s End
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini is convinced Pep Guardiola will coach in the Premier League as speculation continues that the outgoing Bayern Munich boss could replace Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium.
Having seen Ancelotti agree a three-year deal with the German champions, Sacchi believes the former Real Madrid boss is the right choice to take the club forward.
Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed the news on Sunday, thanking Guardiola for his work with the team. Carlo is a calm, balanced professional who can deal with stars and lets you play many variations of football. “That is what we were looking for and that is what we found”.
The Spaniard, who has yet to comment on his decision to quit the club and has already left Munich for a winter holiday, took over after Bayern’s treble-winning season under Jupp Heynckes in 2012-13.

Along with the aforementioned Real Madrid, the Italian tactician has also spent time with Juventus, Milan, Chelsea, and Paris St-Germain.
The 56-year-old, who was sacked by Real Madrid in May, comes with a wealth of experience and has a better Champions League record than Guardiola. When I knew of the club’s interest I didn’t want to consider any other offer.
Guardiola, 44, jetted home to Spain on Sunday for Christmas, leaving Bayern to officially announce he would not extend his three-year contract.
Rummenigge said he had complete confidence in the new coach. However, United have given no indication that they will replace Louis van Gaal, despite them struggling badly for a win, it has been suggested that the club may even have doubts about Guardiola’s suitability to the English league.
However, Guardiola still has the chance to win the UEFA Champions League, German Cup and Bundesliga in the current season.
Guardiola’s glittering coaching reputation was forged during four incredibly successful years at Barcelona, a club he had represented with great distinction as a player having been part of their so-called “Dream Team” of the 1990s under the leadership of Johan Cruyff. Guardiola then celebrated Bayern’s come-from-behind victory over Porto just that little bit too much, causing a noticeable tear down one side of his pants.
Nevertheless, he is an excellent man manager who is adept at balancing egos, proving highly popular with players and motivating them to succeed.
