That is precisely what happened Sunday, when the Chiefs capitalized on an abundance of miscues by the Baltimore Ravens in a 34-14 victory that earned Kansas City a place in the National Football League record book.

BALTIMORE (AP) – During their eight-game winning streak, the Kansas City Chiefs have made this abundantly clear: The opposition will pay for its mistakes. However, when you think about it though, he hasn’t really started in the best of times for either the Chicago Bears or the Baltimore Ravens.

“They’re finding ways to win”, Baltimore linebacker C.J. Mosley said, “and we didn’t”.

Said Aiken: “Personally, my whole thing is I’d rather win games”.

The Chiefs had a 1-5 record and were on a five-game losing streak following a 16-10 defeat at Minnesota.

But a Kansas City offense that had been held to 164 first-half yards and only 26 in the third frame finally salted the game away in the final period. The Ravens are 31st at minus-12. Joe Flacco, Matt Schaub and Jimmy Clausen have combined for 17 interceptions, and the Baltimore defense has picked off only four passes in 13 games.

The veteran had his most productive game of the season as the Ravens played catch up, although his numbers were padded a bit by a successful Hail Mary as time expired in the first half.

Cleveland right guard John Greco is out for the game with a knee injury.

“My hats off to our guys”, Chiefs coach Andy Reid said. He appeared to suffer the injury trying to chase down Chiefs running back Charcandrick West who found a hole and ran 38 yards for a touchdown on the opening possession.

“They’re definitely a team that we would like to mold ourselves off of, especially how they look right now”, Ravens receiver Kamar Aiken noted.

West had the bulk of the carries because Spencer Ware was dealing with a rib injury throughout the week.

The Steelers are surprisingly available in Yahoo and ESPN leagues (47 percent and 58 percent owned), despite scoring touchdowns the last two weeks (one of them was a return).

INDIANAPOLIS – Brandon Weeden replaced injured quarterback T.J. Yates late in the first half and threw a go-ahead 8-yard TD pass to Jaelen Strong with 10:36 to play, giving Houston its first win in 14 tries at Indianapolis.

REID AND REID: Before taking over as Baltimore’s head coach in 2008, Harbaugh worked under Reid in Philadelphia, coaching special teams and the secondary. Derrick Johnson leads the Chiefs with 88 tackles, Tamba Hali has 6.5 sacks and Marcus Peters hs 19 pass deflections. “He’ll take his punishment and he’ll come back and I’m sure he’ll do a great job”. Alex Smith threw his first interception since Week 3 against the Chargers, and finished 15-of-23 for 191 yards, a touchdown and the interception.

Baltimore did not play their best football to say the least, but once again, remained competitive until the last few minutes when Peters came up with the interception return for a touchdown. In fact, Hilton ranks third in Colts franchise history in 1,000-yard seasons behind only Harrison and Wayne (who each have eight), and no one else has more than one.
