Tina Fey and Amy Poehler Host A Dope Saturday Night Live
Fey and Poehler may not have won at the box office, but they did produce strong ratings, boosting “SNL” to its second-best metered-market household rating in nearly two years. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler hosted the programme and used their monologue to give subtle nods to their new movie, ‘Sisters, ‘ and sing a amusing tune about Christmas that showed off their light and dark sides.
“That woman at the diner who always knows my order, my mammogram technician, dude who returned my wallet intact”, Tina and Amy sing in the video above.
But the celebration is short-lived when who should appear but Sarah Palin!
Elsewhere on the show, the duo poked fun at Hilary Clinton’s run for president of the United States and they hosted a fake dating show called “Meet Your Second Wife”.
Hosting the December 19th episode of Saturday Night Live, the SNL veterans made a decision to shed some light on the real #squadgoals behind their lives as comediennes, mothers and all-around badasses.
Opening opposite Star Wars: The Force Awakens is Sisters with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who aren’t afraid to make an aggressive sales pitch to potential audiences. As it turns out, this is one of the funnier versions of this sketch that they have done. The sketch features an awesome rap by Aidy Bryant and a cameo by Amy Schumer. This fall TV season, the third highest rating for SNL was a 2.3 the night Matthew McConaughey hosted with Adele as the musical guest.
