Palin spoofs Tina Fey’s ’30 Rock’ character
In the teaser, Palin plays “Lynn Melon”, an alter ego of Liz Lemon, Fey’s character in “30 Rock”.
Tina Fey is legendary for her spot-on Sarah Palin impression, still this time, Sarah is taking on Tina within the pretend spoof trailer for a brand new tv show 31 Rock! Sarah- First rule of imitating Tina Fey: Never, ever bad mouth Star Wars.
The target of the joke, instead, is much-maligned “PC culture” and so-called “safe spaces”, as Palin’s character struggles to write and produce a comedy show when faced with so many sensitivity concerns.
The parody promo was supposed to be a response to the SNL sketch on Saturday, which mostly spoofed Democrat Hillary Clinton, who gets “advice” on her 2015 campaign for president from Fey as Palin and Amy Poehler as Clinton in 2008.
The video, from Independent Journal Review, was posted following Fey’s appearance on Saturday Night Live over the weekend, where she reprised her dead-on impersonation of Palin.
The skit gets an assist from Sen.
The trailer includes cameos from former-GOP presidential candidate Lindsey Graham, and, of course, the man who introduced Palin to America, Arizona Senator John McCain.
“Tune in when 31 Rock begins this winter on Independent Journal…maybe”, the narrator finishes.
