Penalties doom Bills, playoff hopes with loss to Eagles

Unfortunately, immediately after the game, while still fuming from their third loss in four games and falling completely out of the playoff picture, the Bills coaches did not see things that way.

It was his first 100-yard effort since Week 12 last season against the Jets. Watkins is a consistent deep ball threat who will burn the Eagle’s average secondary if given the chance. I don’t want to play that game. But penalties on defense handed extra yardage to the Eagles and put Buffalo’s own offense in long down and distance situations.

When asked flat out if it was his preference to come back to the Eagles, Bradford offered a lukewarm response.

I think this game will be competitive.

On the first possession, Taylor escaped for big yardage on a scramble, but the play was called back because guard Richie Incognito was flagged for holding Fletcher Cox, who might become the most hated Cox among Bills fans since Bryan Cox played for Miami.

The Buffalo Bills (6-6) are coming from a 30-21 win over the Houston Texans.

A sarcastic kiss to the Eagles logo at midfield was the culmination of a year’s worth of shit-talking of his old team. Sam Bradford completed 14 of 24 passes for 120 yards and two touchdowns. McCoy was a three-time Pro Bowl pick and two-time All-Pro in six seasons in Philadelphia.

LeSean McCoy had an OK afternoon, but the Eagles were able to spoil his homecoming.
