When actress Charlize Theron invited Obama to strip club

The 39-year-old Oscar victor recalled the embarrassing incident from last March, when she couldn’t muster anything to say after Pres. Obama mentioned reaching “a younger demographic” by appearing on the show.

Meeting the president can cause the nerves to get the best of you.

“Well if you’re looking for a different demographic, I could take you to a strip club”, she said to Obama.

Theron recoiled while telling the tale of the POTUS faux pas, exclaiming, “It’s terrible, terrible, terrible!” “I would have gotten right into Air Force One and said ‘drop us off at the nearest strip club immediately.'”. Even so, a mortified Theron says she couldn’t sleep for weeks afterward because she was so embarrassed, reports Time.

“And then there was this pause and I didn’t know what to say”, the “Mad Max” star said.

Clearly nervous about talking to the 44th President of the United States, Theron explained to Kimmel that she was overcome by a case of “verbal diarrhoea”.
