Bill Cosby faces new defamation lawsuit in Massachusetts

Court documents unsealed in July showed that Cosby testified in a 2005 deposition that he had obtained Quaaludes pills with the intent of giving the sedatives to young women in order to have sex with them.

Calling Johnson’s account “false, malicious, opportunistic, and defamatory”, the former JELL-O pudding pitchman’s team filed the suit in Superior Court of California in Los Angeles on Monday.

The lawsuit against Johnson, 63, is the latest legal salvo from Cosby, who is a defendant in five civil cases filed in Los Angeles, Massachusetts and Pittsburgh.

As the Inquisitr reported, Beverly Johnson accused Cosby of drugging her in the 80s.

Johnson later talked about the alleged incident to other publications and television shows such as “The View“, “Nightline” and “Good Morning America“. The lawsuit says defamation & intentional infliction of emotional distress, saying Cosby & Johnson by no means spent any time alone in his home, he by no means drugged her & “her tale is a lie”. There, she said, he gave her a cappuccino that had been spiked with drugs and put his hand around her waist.

“I was woozy; my speech was slurred….” She claims that went on for about four years, starting when she was 16, and that Cosby helped pay for her college and would fly her to cities where he was performing and provide her with hotel rooms where he would have sex with her, until she cut off contact with him. “I guess, on some level, I feel like I can’t be a part of solving that many problems in the world – I do my best to get involved where I can be effective – but this is our neighborhood”. Numerous women accusing Cosby of rape say that the last thing they remember is drinking a beverage offered by Bill Cosby, and then waking up in various states of undress.

Earlier this fall, Johnson told various media outlets that she had forgiven Cosby, and that she did not want to be angry anymore.

Since 2014, Cosby, 78, has been accused of drugging and/or sexual misconduct by more than 50 women. They are suing him for defamation in a MA court. Currently Cosby’s lawyers are fighting against a subpoena for Camille.
