LG launches G Pad II 8.3 Android tablet in South Korea
LG G Pad II 8.3 Tablet: South Korean multinational electronics company LG Electronics on Tuesday launched a new tablet in Korea – the LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE tablet in Korea. There’s also 16GB of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot that supports upto 2TB of storage.
The G Pad II 8.3 comes with a polycarbonate body with an included stylus.
On the back, LG’s mid-range tablet features a decent 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus and video recording, but no LED flash. LG is mum on pricing for the tablet.
Hardware-wise, LG G Pad II 8.3 LTE has been refreshed with a 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset.
“As its name implies, the LG Gpad II 8.3 LTE bears a 8.3” display bearing a resolution of 1920 x 1200.
It also comes with a 4,800mAh battery, slightly larger than the earlier launched tablet, and will come with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop preinstalled, which is admittedly a bit disappointing as we would have much preferred Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The tablet also includes LG exclusive features like Q Pair 2.0, Dual Windows and Gesture shot options.
The G Pad II 8.3 is comes in Brown Gold color, and will be available in Korea through local operator starting from 23 December. Now the company seems to have a strong foothold in the tablet segment by slowly refreshing its G Pad tablet lineup.
LG’s South Korean competitor, Samsung, also recently introduced its latest tablet Galaxy Tab S2, which is a great competitor for the LG G Pad line up. Readers might want to compare it with details of the LG G Pad II 8.0 and G Pad II 10.1 in previous articles.
