At first, it was thought that they were filming last-minute reshoots for The Force Awakens – but after director Rian Johnson was spotted on the island, it became apparent that the team were in fact there to crack on with some scenes for Episode VIII. Included in that blanket statement seems to be Harrison Ford.

Star Wars Episode VIII, which doesn’t have an official title yet, is now in the works. Who’s coming back in Episode VIII? It will star Felicity Jones and be directed by Gareth Edwards and starring Felicity Jones, will “explores the characters and events beyond the core Star Wars saga”.
