Fury fires ‘old man’ Klitschko warning
Tyson Fury has slammed heavyweight kingpin Wladimir Klitschko for having “as much charisma as my underpants” ahead of their world title clash on October 24.
Fury’s opening address at the press conference was fairly low key by his usual outspoken standards, but Klitschko’s suggestion that the fight was not personal for him helped coax the Wilmslow man out of his shell.
What had begun as a mutually respectful first media conference to begin setting up Fury’s return to Dusseldorf for his stadium mega-fight on October 24 suddenly had lift off. Corrie Sanders is a much better fighter than Fury in my book, and I think he would knocked Fury to the moon if Fury was around 12 years ago when Wladimir lost to Sanders.
The unbeaten Briton told reporters: “I’m interested in all of them belts you’ve got on there. I see your ugly face before I go to sleep and I want to smash it in”. I am not about to get into a debate with these kinds of fans, however, I will say that if you really think Louis is that great, peerless, than he needs no records to annunciate that greatness. There’s never been someone like me in history.
For Fury to KO Wladirmir, he’ll have to put his chin on the line by getting in the trenches with Wladimir, and I don’t think Fury will last more than one or two rounds against Wladimir if he fights aggressively.
“You speak 47 different languages, for what?” You’re still a robotic person. Ich bin Tyson Fury, der sexymeister from Great Britain! You’re not fun and exciting to watch. I don’t even see a big man because you’re not only shorter than me, but you’re light for a modern heavyweight.
And Fury added: “You look old, this is a young man against an old man. I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve had Botox. I can be Tyson Fury’s therapist too”.
“There will be another press conference in London and another during fight week so there is plenty more entertainment”. “You’ve got grey hair like my trainer and my manager”. The champion signed a new five-fight agreement with German television network RTL, whom he has been with since 2006. You’re nothing.
Of course Klitschko has to win three more fight for this to come to fruition, and, at age 39, you can not just assume that this will happen, regardless of how dominant the Ukrainian heavyweight has been. He sings, he dances, he is a cool dude. He does things that people like or hate.
“Some people adore you, some people say they can’t stand you, which is good”.
