Woman arrested for assaulting husband who wouldn’t stop farting, police say

It’s yet another “Only in Florida” story: A woman is going to jail after allegedly battering her husband who wouldn’t stop farting.

According to a police report, it was around 3:30 a.m. on December 11th when an officer responded to a domestic battery call at a home on SW Sadwick Avenue in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

When he continued to pass gas, Meikle continued elbowing and even kicking him, police say. She kicked him out of bed and eventually allowed him back, but when he let one go again she kicked and elbowed him until he had a split lip and scratches on his chest.

“Dawn stated she asked Donald several times to stop passing gas in their bed”, cops said in the police report. Police also noted Donald’s shirt had been ripped to shit as a result of Dawn scratching him while he attempted to restrain her.

Both Meikles refused treatment from fire rescue.

Meikle was cooked into St. Lucie County Jail and charged with domestic battery.

Surprisingly, it was Dawn who dialed 911 from the bathroom, a move that ultimately backfired because it led to her arrest. Bond information was not available.
