The Lost Boys star Brooke McCarter has died age 52
Multiple sources are reporting that McCarter succumbed to complications of a genetic liver condition on Tuesday, December 21.
The actor’s family announced his death in a Facebook post, revealing that he had been battling the genetic liver condition alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency (AAT).
But he was best known for his role as Paul in the 1987 movie which co-starred several huge stars of the time including Corey Haim, Kiefer Sutherland and Jason Patrick.
McCarter, who had also appeared in TV shows “The Twilight Zone” and “Route 66“, had few onscreen credits. “We had some very very good times together back in the day”.
‘Funeral arrangements are still being finalized.
Prior to that, he appeared in the skateboarding movie “Thrashin”, which also featured Tony Hawk, Josh Brolin and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
He passed this morning, surrounded by close family and friends, including his daughter Kaitlin McCarter, age 12.
More recently, he appeared in “Wired“, which is based on the life of John Belushi.
McCarter took a break from acting in 1998 to pursue other interests, but returned to the screen in 2010.
