Facebook Now Supports Apple’s Live Photos From The iPhone 6s
The users also have to tap the icon to make the photo come alive, with almost two seconds of audio and video within the app.
TechCrunch further goes to say uploading a Live Photo will be done the same way as a regular picture, but there will be an option to choose whether the pic is a Live Photo or regular photo.
Three months back Apple introduced the new update of Live photos with the iPhone 6S, this feature of Apple was so good that many big companies are loving to built in their devices, as for example Tumblr picked the feature just few days ago, and now the most biggest of all the social networking sites, Facebook will be supporting this attractive feature.
As live photos are still new, Facebook is not pushing out the support to anybody else right now. When uploading a photo from the iPhone 6s’ Camera Roll, users will have to tap on the “LIVE” box at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
“Uploading a Live Photo is pretty similar to uploading your standard still – in fact, it’s identical, save for one extra step”.
Apple describes the feature as “living memories”, as the Live Photo feature captures movement and sound.
However, only iPhone 6s and 6s Plus can capture Live Photos right now – brands and pages haven’t been granted the same access just yet – with the rollout across Facebook to be staggered.
Once a live photo is uploaded on a user’s News Feed, the live photos will appear static as default.
In our online era of recycled GIFs and memes, Live Photos allow you to bring a touch of realism to the party.
