For the fourth consecutive year, Google and Microsoft are giving a helping hand in tracking Santa’s sleigh.

U.S. Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) released a statement today commemorating the 60th year of NORAD Tracks Santa, the North American Aerospace Defense Command’s yearly tradition of tracking the movements of Santa Claus as he traverses the globe on Christmas Eve.
It’s a tradition that began in 1955 after a Colorado Springs-based Sears Roebuck and Co. newspaper advertisement.
The Eastern Air Defense Sector is a North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) headquarters unit located at Griffiss Business and Technology Park in Rome.
