Three injured in Jerusalem stabbing attack
Two Palestinian assailants were shot and killed on Wednesday after stabbing Jewish pedestrians outside Jerusalem’s Old City, the Israeli police said.
Three Israelis were seriously wounded in the attack, according to emergency medical workers and Samri said one of the victims may have also been wounded by police gunfire.
Since mid-September, near-daily Palestinian stabbing, shooting and vehicle ramming attacks have killed 19 Israelis and an American student. “We can see that this was an organized attack by two terrorists that coordinated together, but we don’t see at this moment in time any connections between any organized terrorist cell”, he said.
The rise in anti-Arab sentiment includes Jewish boycotts of Arab businesses and closer scrutiny by schools of Arab custodial workers who could be the next attackers.
The Old City is located in east Jerusalem, occupied by Israel in 1967 and later annexed.
The site, Islam’s holiest outside Saudi Arabia, is also revered by many Jews as a vestige of their biblical temples.

He said business is down 80%.
The stabbings are the latest in an upsurge of violence in the last three months.

Palestinians say the violence stems from their frustration at almost five decades of Israeli military rule coupled with the collapse of US-sponsored peace talks.
Rosenfeld said they were investigating the case as a “criminal incident with nationalistic motives”.
The inscription on the wall referred to “the detainees of Zion” who have been arrested by Israel in connection with a deadly July arson in which Palestinian baby boy Ali Dawabsheh lost his life.
