‘Mad Max’ Meets ‘Star Wars’ In This Glorious Mash Up
The video, titled Road Wars: The Imperator Strikes Back, shows off a universe that nearly seems like it should exist in the Star Wars universe (maybe I’m biased because I liked Mad Max so much).
Give it a look below.
Nope: the whole thing is remarkably restrained, packing in a steelbook, a collector’s box, the Ripper DLC (also available as a pre-order bonus), a mini license plate and a copy of Mad Max: Fury Road on Blu-ray. In addition, it here are a few new things we learned about The Force Awakens at SDCC for you to read up on in anticipation of its December release. Shenoi uses whip-smart editing to mix in tie-fighters, lightsabers, and those iconic pew-pew sound effects into the carnage of Mad Max.
This isn’t the first time Shenoi has mashed up movies to perfection. Most Star Wars films are lighthearted, escapist adventures; Mad Max movies are gritty, exhausting affairs that make you feel like you have to brush your teeth afterward.
