Lakers’ Kobe Bryant, Thunder’s Kevin Durant downplay recent dinner
He leads the Lakers in scoring at 16.7 points per game. In 2011, the Lakers beat Scott’s post-LeBron James Cavaliers by 55 points.
“We just tried to make the right play every time down and defensively, we just tried to cover for each other”, Durant said. We didn’t come to compete, and they just played harder than we did.
MANILA, Philippines – Over the course of his 20-year NBA career, future basketball Hall-of-Famer Kobe Bryant has seen his share of battles against some of the best opposing players and teams that stood in the way of him and his Los Angeles Lakers.
The praise flowed out endlessly as Oklahoma City forward Kevin Durant called Kobe Bryant “a champion” and “an iconic figure”.
While that’s certainly an impressive list of players, both Shaquille O’Neal and Tim Duncan are missing from the list. He found Steven Adams for a handful of alley-oop dunks, taking advantage of the lack of resistance inside. They have given up two 17-point leads to Portland at home and an 18-point lead to the Nuggets on the road.
The 37-year-old, who was part of the successful USA teams at Beijing 2008 and London 2012, is retiring after spending 20 years with the Los Angeles Lakers. “You are dealing with a big business”, Bryant said.
“I don’t make decisions with playing time”, Randle said. The flurry had their long-suffering fans – who haven’t watched their team play in a playoff game since 2004 – hopeful that the longest-running postseason drought in the league was coming to an end.
“I definitely plan on helping the game spread and helping kids all around the world understand all that surrounds the game and its potential”, Bryant said. The Lakers are among the NBA’s worst teams for a third straight season. “I don’t know where it came from, but it was there”.
Bryant has shot over 50 percent from the field through his last six games, which is a far cry from current season average of 33.9 percentage.
Byron Scott was not pleased with the way that D’Angelo Russell was playing within his offensive system. The Thunder wore their alternate sleeved jerseys.
Before Saturday, Bryant had missed three games this season, two because of a sore back and one for rest.
“I would have loved to play overseas for a season”, Bryant said Monday, per Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News. It was Bryant’s first dunk of the season, and the No. 2 overall pick sprinted up and down the baseline in celebration, which landed him a technical foul.
“I’m sure it didn’t help”, Bryant said. “They didn’t play well at all”.
Bryant said that his legs feel great and that he feels as though he can maintain this higher level of play.
