Sanders Camp Suspends Two More Staffers
Former Maryland governor Martin O’Malley attacked both former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Sen.
The criticism from Sanders followed the third Democratic debate of the 2016 contest, held in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Saturday night.
Government sources and intelligence experts tell ABC News there is no evidence to support Clinton’s claim that ISIS recruiters are “going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam”. He is becoming ISIS’ best recruiter.
The Bernie Sanders, Democratic National Committee drama has been resolved – for now. “Based on this information, we are restoring the Sanders campaign’s access to the voter file”. Mrs Clinton came walking in, and said “sorry” into the microphone.
“We should move on because I don’t think the American people are all that interested in this”, she said after accepting her rival’s apology.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let’s calm down a little bit, Martin”, Sanders replied. He also blasted the “incompetence” the DNC’s Web vendor, saying it had dropped Clinton data into his campaign’s lap a few times.
They clashed over Syria, with Mr Sanders accusing Mrs Clinton of being set on regime change while she said United States leadership was needed. “Mrs. Clinton is Mrs. Happy Talk, and she just wants to happy-talk her way to the presidency”.
“I feel very strongly that we have to reform our criminal justice system and we have to find ways to try to bring law enforcement together again with the communities that they are sworn to protect”, Clinton said.
Sanders disagreed, saying the US should first seek to defeat the Islamic State, calling Assad a “secondary issue” that should be dealt with over the course of years. “But before you do that, you’ve got to think about what happens the day after”. The second time, a staffer or more-we don’t know yet, we’re doing that investigation- screwed up.
Hillary Clinton lied when she said that “ISIS is using video of Donald Trump as a recruiting tool”. Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver first announced the two suspensions to the press after the Democratic debate and the news was confirmed to several news outlets on Sunday morning.
Sanders also framed the drug policy issue in “the context of race and policing”, Farai Chideya reported for FiveThirtyEight.
